Hyderabad: in upcoming Assembly elections, Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) party is planning to field candidates in 20 seats in Telangana. MBT party spokesperson Amjed Ullah Khan said that a five member committee which includes party president Majeed Ullah Khan and four others will scrutinize the applications of the candidates and finalise them.
“The committee will decide on the strengths of the candidates and advantages of the party from a particular seat before deciding on any person. So far, applications from Mahabubnagar, Nizamabad, Medak and Hyderabad have been received,” said Khan.
He ruled out the rumours of the party forming an alliance with any political party. “The MBT is a partner of the Bahujan Left Front (BLF) and will contest elections with it. We are not into an alliance with any political party as being rumoured,” Khan said.
